Scrutineering

Results you can defend, line by line

The scrutineer's job is to make sure the result is right and provably right. MyDanceComp gives the scrutineer a console with every mark, every tally and every tie, plus a paper pack that matches the screens exactly.

The console

What the scrutineer sees

Recall tally

Every judge's picks per round, the count per dancer, and the majority line. Ties at the cut-off are flagged, not buried.

Tie decisions on the record

Majority count, all-tied-through or re-dance: the head judge's call is logged with who decided and when.

Skating working

Finals show the full ordinal grid: each judge's ranking, the majority at each placing and the tiebreaks applied.

Second-person confirmation

One person checks the working, a second confirms it. Publishing needs both.

Paper fallback pack

One click prints recall sheets, tally sheets and skating grids for the whole event, matched to the live categories.

A defensible answer

When a teacher asks why their dancer did not advance, you show them the tally. Conversation over, relationship intact.

0 of 6 marked

Twelve dancers are on the floor. Mark exactly 6 numbers to put through.
