Their own phone and a PIN you set per role. There is nothing to install and no accounts to create for helpers.

Can different people have different access?

Yes. Desk, door, stage, MC, coordinator, scorer and judges each get a screen for their job, and only their job.

What happens if the wifi drops?

Judging, check-in and door scanning keep working and sync when the connection returns. A sync indicator shows what is still queued.

Is there a paper backup?

Yes. One click prints the fallback pack: recall sheets, tally sheets, skating grids, start lists and the running order.
